I'm Michael — a missionary headed to Tokyo, Japan in 2027 for a 6-month internship with a local church. Will you join me?
What I'll Be Doing
in Tokyo
Every day in Japan is an opportunity to learn, serve, and build meaningful relationships that point people toward Christ. Here's what my six-month internship will look like.
Language School
I'll spend much of my week learning Japanese so I can communicate effectively, build authentic friendships, and minister to people in their own language.
Church Ministry
I'll serve alongside local pastors and church leaders through outreach events, Sunday ministries, discipleship opportunities, and wherever extra hands are needed.
Building Relationships
Some of the most impactful ministry happens through everyday conversations. My goal is to intentionally invest in people, build trust, and share the hope of Jesus through genuine relationships.
Why I'm Going
to Tokyo
God placed a call on my heart for the people of Japan—a nation of over 125 million people where less than 1% know Jesus as their Savior. Tokyo isn't simply a destination for me; it's an invitation to be part of something eternal.
In 2027 I'll be serving alongside a local church in Tokyo for six months as a ministry intern. During that time I'll attend language school, build relationships within the community, and share the hope of Christ wherever God opens doors.
This mission isn't something I can accomplish alone. I'm building a team of faithful partners who will stand beside me through prayer and financial support. Every gift, every prayer, and every encouraging word becomes part of the story God is writing in Japan.

Japan is one of the most technologically advanced nations on earth, yet millions have never heard the Gospel in a meaningful way. Behind the bright lights and crowded streets is a tremendous spiritual need.
Fewer than one percent of Japan's population identifies as Christian, making it one of the largest unreached nations in the developed world.
Every neighborhood, university, and workplace represents opportunities to build relationships and introduce people to the love of Christ.
Whether through language learning, church ministry, or everyday conversations, each day is another opportunity for someone to encounter Jesus.
